Laxmikant Vasani, a retired school master stays with his son Vinaykant, Daughter in law Sulochana and grandson Shashikant. Shashikant falls in love with Jalpa the daughter of their society's secretary Manukant. Vinaykant has a personal grudge against Manukant.
